    Hello Everyone!

I am creating my own character with blender, so I started with a simple smiley emoticon and did the animation.

My problem is with the export to collada (dae) since the exported file is not readable by the computer (it says the file is corrupted), so I was wondering if you guys know ho to solve the problem, I can export props, but not dae animations.

I heard about better collada and tried already but it takes too much time to export and again the file is not readable.

Thank you all in advance and regards!

    Oscar

    Hello,

For problems regarding the import of avatars into FaceRig, please email our team of technical artists with your questions. They have very little time and only browse the forums once in a while. Use the artsupport[at]holotech[dot]eu address to get in touch with them

Thanks for the reply, i solved the problem by first exporting to .fbx format and then using the fbx converter to collada (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/pc/item?siteID=123112&id=20481519), as they advice in the other forum (http://facerig.us/index.php), the export options are mesh and bones only. do not export lamp or camera, otherwise it will not work. cheers! Hmm, I’ll have to double check my old blender project files, run into the same problem; even after deleting the lamps and cameras.

Hi Ozkrelo. Where did you get the .fbx to .dae exporter converter?
    I´m a Blender user too.
    Thanks.
