There are a few FaceRig products out there, so we feel that some info regarding the differences in licenses will help avoid confusion.
FaceRig Classic is designed for home use. To entertain your friends and family, to have fun without gaining any profit out of using the software. It does, however, grant you limited monetization on YouTube/Twitch or similar as long as you earn less than $500 monthly revenue.
The FaceRig Pro DLC allows you to monetize videos on YouTube/Twitch regardless of the monthly revenue, but not for content exclusive to paid/subscription based services, such as the new YouTube Red. FaceRig Pro does not bring new assets, technical features or improvements to FaceRig Classic.
FaceRig Studio is the only one of the FaceRig products that allows for commercial use, it is our business to business solution.
FaceRig Studio has three versions:
– FaceRig Studio for Individual Creators (and FaceRig Studio for Individual VTubers with Live2D) – Is necessary if you are an individual operating social media accounts that have a follower or subscriber count that is less than 100 000 per each social media platform, or want to use it within a small and / or medium enterprise whose total income in the previous fiscal year was less than the equivalent of $200 000 US dollars, or for registered charities, or cultural or educational institutions.
– Facerig Studio for Professionals and Businesses (and FaceRig Studio for Professional VTubers with Live2D) – Is the license you need if you want to use it within a big company or, as an individual creator, you have more than 100 000 followers across social media, per each platform. It comes with four seats. You can use it at a live show, if the onlookers (public) only see the video output, but they don’t get to be in front of the tracking camera and the program is driven by an employee/ hired actor.
– Facerig Studio for Event Booths (and FaceRig Studio for Event Booths with Live2D) – Represents one license to be used in a public booth (where the public can use the software). Represents one license to be used in a public booth by the public at large. Which means that if the onlookers use the program at the show you need this version.
Below you can see a list with the changes between the OLD FaceRig Studio license naming and the NEW FaceRig Studio license naming, together with a detailed difference between their applicability.
